Gluten Free breakfast burritos at Blue Iguana Carnival Valor
Upon discovering that our 12-year-old son Brayden had a new dietary requirement of being gluten-free, my spouse and I found ourselves with numerous questions. These mainly concerned whether we could still take that much-anticipated family cruise without compromising Brayden’s health. We knew that cruises offered an excess of food choices on board, however, we were unsure whether they catered to specific dietary needs such as gluten-free. Before booking our vacation, we needed to find out just how extensive their gluten-free meal options were, the variety they offered, and how they ensured that there was no cross-contamination. We were also curious whether there would be gluten-free snacks available throughout the day, as well as provisions for his meals during any off-board excursions.
We were deeply impressed by our interaction with a member of the culinary team onboard, who exhibited comprehensive knowledge about gluten-free alternatives. The chef’s proficiency extended beyond simply arranging a gluten-free buffet; he also understood the individual food preferences of the guests. We had an informative talk about different meal choices that Brayden could enjoy without any dietary worries. The head waiter would make it a point to ask Brayden about his next meal preferences after each one. So, Brayden would choose what he wanted for lunch at breakfast, and his dinner at lunchtime, and so forth. Such dedication sheds a new light on dietary accommodations.
